Kurt Cobain’s Mom Allegedly Details Courtney Love Threat: ‘Kurt Had Filed For Divorce’ Claimed

Imagen
(Image) - Frances Bean Cobain’s ex-husband Isaiah Silva alleges in his new lawsuit accusing Courtney Love of trying to have him murdered that Kurt Cobain’s mother Wendy O’Connor told him that Courtney Love threatened Kurt’s sister Brianne when she voiced suspicions about his 1994 death. Silva’s lawsuit also alleges that Wendy claimed that Kurt Cobain filed for divorce, and after his death Courtney Love burned the divorce papers. Below is an excerpt from the lawsuit: O’CONNOR told SILVA and MARY that, shortly after Kurt Cobain’s death, she and LOVE were talking in the kitchen of the Washington home where Kurt Cobain had died. When O’CONNOR began to question the facts surrounding her son’s alleged suicide. O’CONNOR said that LOVE became angry and threatened O’CONNOR’s daughter, Brianne O’Connor, saying, “Shut up, or she’s next.” -  O’CONNOR told SILVA and SILVA’s mother, MARY, that Kurt Cobain had filed for divorce from LOVE shortly before his death and had initiated the process

Nirvana clap back and the Nevermind baby’s lawsuit

Attorneys for the estate of Nirvana are seeking dismissal of the Nevermind baby’s lawsuit and have called it ‘absurd’. Attorneys for the surviving members of  Nirvana  asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed in August by the ‘ Nevermind  baby ’, Spencer Elden, on the basis that his argument, that the cover of the 1991 album  Nevermind  constitutes child pornography, is decades too late and is just plain silly. The motion was filed last week on behalf of Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Courtney Love (executor of the Kirk Cobain estate), Kirk Weddle (the cover photographer), UMG Recordings and Nirvana LLC. According to Nirvana’s representation, Elden    “has spent three decades profiting from his celebrity as the self-anointed ‘Nirvana Baby.’ He has re-enacted the photograph in exchange for a fee, many times; he has had the album title ‘Nevermind’ tattooed across his chest; he has appeared on a talk show wearing a self-parodying, nude-colored onesie; he has autographed copies of the al

The Cause and Controversy Of Kurt Cobain’s Suicide

Imagen
  - Born February 20, 1967 as Kurt Donald Cobain, Nirvana’s lead singer was one of, if not the, premiere musical icon of Generation X [ 7 ]. He was credited with pioneering the “grunge” subgenre to Alternative Rock in America. At the time of his suicide, Cobain had a net worth of $150 million and was arguably one of the world’s most famous rock stars [ 4 ] . It’s because of this that people wonder why he ultimately decided to take his own life. Others speculate that perhaps his death was not a suicide at all. Cobain’s Death by Suicide: On Friday, April 8th, 1994 Kurt Cobain was found dead from a gunshot in the outdoor greenhouse of his Seattle, Washington home [ 4 ]. Cobain’s autopsy estimated the time of his death to be Tuesday, April 5th via a self-inflicted gunshot to the head [ 4 ].  When police arrived they found a shotgun against his chin, a suicide note placed on top of a pile of potting soil, a pen staked through the middle of the note, a used syringe, about $100 of Mexican b

The Many Ways We Remember Kurt Cobain After His Death

Imagen
(Image) - When Kurt Cobain was born in small Aberdeen, Washington, on February 20, 1967, there was no way to know he would be deified by many and remembered by most on planet earth. Today, we remember Kurt as the handsome, bestubbled frontman of the ‘90s grunge rock group Nirvana. He was that generation’s answer to Bob Dylan and the Beatles. But also, with his successful, beautiful blond partner,   Courtney Love , he was Joe DiMaggio or JFK with Marilyn Monroe. We also remember Cobain for how he died. Like other greats, who passed away too young (many of whom, like Cobain, were just 27 years old—Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison), there remains mystery around his death. Some speculate that someone else might have pulled the trigger. Some wonder,  if  he did it to himself, why he would do such a thing? Even others can imagine the tremendous pressure Cobain must have felt—the “Voice of a Generation.” This, from a disgruntled Pacific Northwestern small-town guy. The world,

Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne was inspired by Kurt Cobain

Imagen
(Image) - Maybe The Batman smells like teen spirit? What do  The Batman  and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain have in common? Well, that’s a question that director Matt Reeves couldn’t wait to dig into with Robert Pattinson for the latest big-screen take on the Caped Crusader. When Reeves was conceptualizing and writing  The Batman,  he had a different idea of what the DC Comics’ Bruce Wayne character was like following the tragic death of his parents. Rather than become the playboy fans are familiar with, Reeves went the opposite way and made him more of a loner. And it was all inspired by Cobain. “When I write, I listen to music, and as I was writing the first act, I put on Nirvana’s ‘Something In The Way’,” Reeves tells  Empire . “That’s when it came to me that, rather than make Bruce Wayne the playboy version we’ve seen before, there’s another version who had gone through a great tragedy and become a recluse. So I started making this connection to Gus Van Sant’s  Last Days , a

Courtney Love Told Cobain And Grohl That ‘In Bloom’ Is A Better First Single Than ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’

Imagen
(Image) - Nirvana released their iconic ‘Nevermind’ album one year before Love and Cobain’s marriage. The band recorded the album in May and June 1991 at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California. During that time, Love was living nearby. Following ‘Nevermind’s release, she was there with Cobain, and they both   enjoyed the album’s commercial success. Although the Hole singer hasn’t talked about the ‘Nevermind’ album before, she recently gave an interview to Los Angeles Times and recalled those times. In the interview, Courtney Love revealed that she argued to Cobain and Dave, claiming that  ‘In Bloom’ was a better first single  for the album than ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.’ Love said that ‘In Bloom’ had no shtick while ‘Teen Spirit’ has a little of a K Records shtick. Following that, she said that if ‘In Bloom’ was the album’s first single, things might have been different now. Love noted that Kurt Cobain might still be alive now if they had taken her idea into consideration, as som

FRANCES BEAN COMPARES NIRVANA’S KURT COBAIN TO THE BEATLES’ JOHN LENNON

(Image) - Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain spoke in an interview with RuPaul during the recent episode of “What’s the Tee?” podcast. She compared her father to Elvis Presley and John Lennon from The Beatles. You can read the conversation below (Transcribed by Alternative Nation). Michelle said: “There are a lot of celebrity kids out there, we got a lot. We have ones on the level of Lisa Marie Presley and Madonna’s kids but I was just sitting here listening to you talk; there is a different obsession with Kurt Cobain. Courtney as well, but Kurt was a God in the same way that Elvis was in many levels, I can imagine for Lisa…” Frances chimed in: “Or like John Lennon.” Michelle added: “Or like, John Lennon but it’s a different time you see because your generation and you’re much younger than those kids is more obsessive. I can’t even imagine the energy thrown onto you from Kurt and Courtney’s fans.” Frances said: -  “I think there’s a desperate need for a lot of that f

PEARL JAM’S EDDIE VEDDER OPENS UP ABOUT HIS UNENDING RIVALRY WITH NIRVANA ICON KURT COBAIN

Imagen
(Image) - The frontman of Pearl Jam,   Eddie Vedder   revealed his genuine opinion about the rivalry between   Pearl Jam and Nirvana   in the early ’90s, and especially Nirvana frontman   Kurt Cobain ‘s statements about Vedder’s band during an interview with Howard Stern . When it comes to music, fans and media love to see a rivalry between two musicians and bands at the top of their games since fans love to dedicate their loyalty to the best out of the two, and media benefits from the material come out of that competition. One of the  most famous rivalries  between two iconic bands started more than two decades ago when Nirvana and Pearl Jam were two of the biggest bands in the country. As to how it all started, it is fair to assume that the reason was almost entirely from a handful of interviews that Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain back when he referred to  Pearl Jam as ‘careerists,’  and suggested they were only in it for the money. While Cobain said negative things about Pearl Jam

(Image) - " I was scared to write it," the Foo Fighters frontman said. During an appearance on Amanpour and Company, Foo Fighters frontman looked back on his time in Nirvana, discussing writing about the late Kurt Cobain in his new book "The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music." Grohl was Nirvana's drummer between 1990 and the group's end in 1994, performing on 1991's "Nevermind" and 1993's "In Utero." Asked why he chose to write about Kurt only in the last chapter of his book, Grohl replied (via Blabbermouth ): "'Cause I was scared to write it... "It's one thing to write about getting stitches when you're 12 years old or it's one thing to write about taking your kids to the daddy-daughter dance, it's another thing to write about something that you've barely spoken about with people close to you. "I mean, I revealed some things in that story that I've never told my closest friends. I
